I previously had a different book blog, and I had a bunch of problems with the hosting company I used for the blog, and all of my content was deleted. I managed to salvage some of my reviews from back then by compiling what I wrote on Goodreads, Amazon, and Barnes and Nobles review sections. See some that I have already posted here.
Zoey, High Priestess in training, has managed to settle in at the House of Night and come to terms with the vast powers the Vampyre Goddess Nyx has given her. Just as she finally feels she belongs, the unthinkable happens: human teenagers are being killed, and all evidence points to the House of Night. While danger stalks the humans from Zoey’s old life, she begins to realize that the very powers that make her so unique might also threaten those she loves.
IDK why but I wanted to like these books so much. I think the concept was a cool idea, and I could get behind that, but the books just aren’t great. It recaps the first book quite a bit. I guess for people who haven’t read it, but it just felt redundant to me. Plus I hate when book series don’t put the number of the book on the cover or spine. I shouldn’t have to look that up to see if it is the next book I need or not.
