TbT Review: Night Walker (Night #1) by Lisa Kessler

TBTI previously had a different book blog, and I had a bunch of problems with the hosting company I used for the blog, and all of my content was deleted.  I managed to salvage some of my reviews from back then by compiling what  I wrote on Goodreads, Amazon, and Barnes and Nobles review sections.  I will be posting these reviews under a new blog post called Throw Back Thursday Reviews, until I have posted them all on this blog. 🙂 See some that I have already posted here.

Goodreads Summary:

He gave up his soul for a second chance to love her…

Two and a half centuries ago, Calisto Terana lost everything when a zealous priest murdered the woman he loved. Now, desperate for another chance to love her, he wants redemption for the mistake that cost her life.

She’s haunted by dreams of her own death…

After catching her fiance with another woman, Kate Bradley returns to San Diego to clear her head. The last thing she needs is romance, but after meeting Calisto she’s drawn to him in ways she doesn’t understand.

They’ve waited in the shadows for centuries…

Calisto has no doubt Kate is the reincarnation of his lost love, but the Fraternidad Del Fuego Santo has a new watcher with dark ambitions of his own. As old enemies reemerge and a new threat arises, the betrayal that enslaved Calisto to the night might destroy the only woman he’s ever loved again.

My Thoughts:

This is not a book I would have picked up based on the cover.  I read and reviewed this book back in 2011.  I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. I loved this book!! It is about Kate Bradley, and it starts with some terrible things that are going on. Her parents recently passed away in a car crash, and she walked in on her fiance cheating. She is surprisingly unhurt by him cheating, and realizes she didn’t love him like she thought she did. She moves into her parents’ house to take care of their will, and ends up meeting Calisto, who she is instantly attracted too. Calisto is a Night Walker (don’t you dare call him Vampire, LOL) Romance, suspense and drama ensue. VERY GOOD. I love how this book jumps from present (Calisto and Kate) to the past when Calisto (aka Gregorio) turns into a Night Walker. If you like paranormal romance, you will love this book!
