Read to Red Carpet

Read to Red Carpet

Another poster I saw at ALA was about books to read before the movie comes out. I love this idea, and try to do it often.  I still haven’t read (or watched) The Fault In Our Stars.  I think I am the only one who hasn’t.  I am afraid of all the hype though.  I will read it!! I own it, so I really will read it. I just don’t know when.

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1

This movie is set to come out November 21, and I will absolutely see it!  If you haven’t read the Hunger Games series, by Suzanne Collins, get on it! It is seriously good. They are making the finale a 2-parter like they did in Harry Potter, which I am ok with, because the more movie the better for me (as long as it is done well.)

The Maze Runner

This is set to come out on September 19, 2014.  I will also be watching this movie.  The first book in this trilogy by James Dashner wasn’t great to me, but if you stick it out for the whole trilogy it is actually really good, and I can’t wait to see how they did with the movie version.

The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies

The third installment of the Hobbit movies will be epic like the first 2. I will definately see this as well.  The book is really good. I know I will get a lot of hate mail for this, but I didn’t love The Lord of the Rings books. The Hobbit was awesome though.

Gone Girl

This is another book I own, but have not read.  It looks really interesting.  The movie comes out October 3, so hopefully I can fit it in my schedule before the movie comes out. Another novel by Gillian Flynn (Dark Places) is also set to come out this year on September 1.

Lots of goodies coming out, time to get reading!

What are some of the books to movies you guys are looking forward to?
